Sometimes, the rhetoric that politicians spew does go wrong, with amusing consequences. Fortunately this happens often enough to warrant a dedicated blog, monitoring all of the excessive hot air coming out of our politicians.

Of Botox money and service delivery

Bhuti Manamela's bizzare attack on Western Cape premier Helen Zille:

We cannot continue to tolerate a situation wherein ugly Zille uses money that is supposed to build toilets to buy her own make-up and Botox. You can"t use that money to buy your Botox, that money belongs to service delivery


The ANC deputy secretary-general Thandi Modise decided to get in on the act:

Some of us allow Zille to come into our houses simply because she speaks Xhosa to us. Are we that cheap, are we forgetting where we come from, are we forgetting who Zille is?
